Having a good CRM is an essential part of any business. One that combines Project Management is crucial for a business like Savio Designs. Every iteration of our Client Portal was carefully chosen to meet the needs of our business and cater to our clients. Hopefully our choices can help you in your business as well! Please take a look at the history of our Client Portals and see if any are right for you and your business!

SuiteDash (1/1/2021 - present)

Replacing Ultimate Client Manager was no easy task. We wanted/needed a platform that had similar features that we were used to, while offering a modern approach and some new features. We also didn't want it to be too different for our long-time clients, so it was important that the Client end had a fast learning curve.

After looking at several different CRM's over the course of several months, SuiteDash kept reigning at the top of our list. It is packed with features (we are learning them as we go along) and offers a fairly simple and intuitive Client Portal experience for our Clients.

While setting up any CRM in a huge time endeavor (only minimal amounts of data were able to be imported from Ultimate Client Manager - most of the data had to be imported manually, and there are a lot of features, settings, and templates to configure!), having a fully featured and powerful CRM at the helm of your business makes everything that much smoother when you are tackling several projects at a time!

Ultimate Client Manager (12/19/2013-12/31/2020)

https://ultimateclientmanager.com/

Ultimate Client Manager was our first paid platform Client Portal. It had a one-time fee and was self hosted. It featured a clean interface with a ton of features. It was the creation and work of primarily one developer: dtBaker. We were thrilled to be part of the UCM community, often giving feature request ideas - even funding a lot of them. Sadly, it ended up being abandoned by the developer and we knew we had to find a replacement in order to stay current and offer our clients an easy to use Project Management system.

If you are looking for a cost-effective, single payment CRM, and you don't mind something that is no longer being developed, at the time of this writing Ultimate Client Manager is still available.

QDPM (6/13/2011 - 12/18/2013)

http://qdpm.net/

QDPM was our first Client Portal. It is (at the time) a free, open-sourced CRM. While it was pretty fast and free, the features were lacking. It also proved to be a bit complex for some of my Clients. If you have a techy type mind, then it made sense, but it just lacked a straightforward and clean layout for the clients.
