New for 2021 are two additional plans we are now offering our clients for their websites: "Managed Sites" and "Speed Sites"! These join our "Unmanaged Sites" offerings and are subscription-based in order to allow constant updates and ""no pressure"" operation of the sites for our clients!

Let's break down our three different offerings with regard to Web Development, as each has their Pros and Cons and are more suitable for different use cases:

Unmanaged Sites (Full Ownership Sites)

These are the types of sites we have been doing since our inception. We hand code a site (from the ground up) using Adobe Dreamweaver. The design is based upon the Clients likes and wants and is tweaked until they are satisfied. We Code in a Content Management System for the Client to Update their content and can also code in a variety of customizable features or modules to upgrade their site from basic functionality to something more elaborate. Once the site is done, it is stored on the client's server and is 100% theirs.

Pros:

• Highly customizable
• Client has full ownership/access of all the code (no longer need or dependent on Savio Designs)
• Coded from scratch so code is clean (not bloated)
• Can be used with any hosting provider
• ""Once and Done"" payment. Only additional costs client would incur would be for hosting and domain from a provider of their choice.

Cons:

• High upfront cost
• Client needs to maintain site/content
• Client needs to provide hosting

Managed Site Plans

Our Managed Site Plans are a new addition for us! It takes all the good design elements of the Unmanaged Sites (hand coded, highly customizable, etc.) but takes the pressure off the client for updating the site's content, dealing with hosting providers, etc. as we host the site, maintain it, and update it for you!

Pros:

• No ongoing pressure by client to maintain/host site
• Lower upfront cost (one-time design charge)
• Content updates are e-mailed to us and we take care of it for you!
• Highly Customizable
• Design coded from scratch so code is clean (not bloated)
• Discounted Prices to make design and feature changes!
• No "learning curve" required to have and ""run"" a website!

Cons:

• Ongoing monthly fee that covers updates, maintenance, SEO, and hosting

• If you decide to leave Savio Designs and want to move your site somewhere else, there is a site transfer fee
• No Content Management System for Client to update Content (this can be added for an additional fee, but the intent is to have Client e-mail us the content updates and we do them for you).

Speed Site Plans

Our Speed Sites are another new addition to our offerings. These are designed for clients on a very tight budget or needs a good looking site built and live incredibly fast. We use online Site Builders that we have developer licenses for in order to build your site rapidly. These are the only sites that we use an Online Website Builder tool to make your site. It should be noted, a lot of ""web designers"" actually use these drag and drop builders and pass them off as "custom designs" to clients without ever disclosing to their clients that they are using an online tool and that they are, in fact, not real web designers!

Pros:

• Budget Friendly
• Can be built and put online fast (usually within 72 hours)
• No ongoing pressure by client to maintain/host site

Cons:

• Not hand coded, so code might be bloated which often happens with Online Web Builders
• Design/customizations can be limited by tool limitation
• Ongoing fee to cover hosting/maintenance/content updates
• Client owns the content, but doesn't own the design. Won't be able to transfer site to another hosting provider.
