This all depends on what type of web site you have. If you have what is called a static site (a site where there are no databases attached and every page is its own file with its own content), then it is fairly easy. All you have to do is transfer the files from your site from your old server to your new one (using a program like FileZilla). You also need to make sure your domain is pointing to your new server.

To send us a file for your project, simply log into your client account at https://my.saviodesigns.com, You will see a "File Upload" box in the center of your dashboard. You can simply drag and drop your files into that box, or browse and upload them. It is that easy! Your files will be uploaded to our Secure Portal and ready for us to use for your project!

Adobe Flash/Adobe Flash Player was a great program that created a lot of neat animations and interactive website elements. Due to a dispute between Apple and Adobe, Apple refused to allow support for Adobe Flash on its smart phones and tablets. As the world was changing and more and more people started accessing the internet through these devices over their computers, this became a death blow for Adobe Flash. While new technologies emerged to tray and fill the gap (namely CSS3 and HTML5) we still can't quite do everything we could with Flash.

Just like any data, it is always important to have a back up of your website in case on unforeseeable problems. Things outside of your control: server crashes, disasters, hosting companies going out of business; or things in your control: forgetting to pay your hosting bill, messing something up on your website, accidentally deleting or editing the files on the server; can be reasons to have an independent back up of your website INCLUDING any of the MySql databases your website uses for its content.
